Re: 2017 Early Bird Indy 500
Hi Tim,
Wondering about the restarts. In the IndyCar official series, it is single file restarts after cautions. Are we gonna have single file or double file restarts?

I prefer single file restarts since that is what is used in real life and the iRacing official IndyCar series.
Also, there is a separate qualifying setup for the IndyCar fixed series races. You can load it in the Hosted/League races by selecting it for the second setup box. It is called indianapolis_ovalindypit_qual. It is basically the same setup as the race setup with less fuel and Indy qual boost turned on. If you add it as another setup for the sessions, it can be selected during practice and will be automatically selected during the qual session. The race setup will load as default during practice and will load automatically during the race session.

Re: 2017 Early Bird Indy 500
I'll get some of the guys to vote on the single file restart. Not sure what you mean about selecting the qual setup during practice. Only option i have when setting up the server is a race setup and a qual setup. I'll make sure both setups are selected. Thanks for your input.
Re: 2017 Early Bird Indy 500
When you setup a hosted or league session, you can choose fixed or open setup which I am sure you already know.
If you select fixed setup, there are 2 boxes to the right where you can choose setups. Select the race setup for the left box and the qual setup for the right box.
Now when someone joins a practice session or joins during practice in the race session, the race setup will be loaded by default.
You can then go into the garage and click on iRacing setups and it will show both race and qual setups. You can choose either one during practice.
During the Qualifying session, only the qual setup will load and it will be the only setup available in the garage.
During the Race session, only the race setup will load and it will be the only setup available in the garage.
If you make changes to the steering pinion and offset, make sure you adjust those before qualifying and before you grid for the race.
